El Paso, Texas (KTSM) - The El Paso Police Department is investigating a police officer who was shot in front of a bar in East El Paso.
According to the El Paso Police Department, these forces responded to the ongoing fighting in the Ciros bar and kitchen in Zaragoza North at around 2 am.
EPFD stated that during the investigation, an unidentified suspect shot at the police.
Before the suspect fled the scene, the police found the suspect and fired a shot backwards.
There are no reports of injuries or arrests of persons involved in the shooting. However, EPPD stated that persons involved in the phone call have been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the charges include traffic orders, criminal orders, and interference with police officers’ public duties.
