Google is famous for birthdays, anniversaries, special events and festivals with doodles. The search giant also includes a number of interactive and mini games on its homepage now and then. Each of these games is archived on the Google doodle blog .

As the majority of the global population is quarantined in their respective homes due to the covid-19 outbreak, feeling bored every once in a while is inevitable. To help us beat the lockdown blues and kill boredom, the good folks at Google are showcasing a popular game from their past doodle every day .

Starting Monday, Google has come up with a series of ten doodles, where each doodle will be a throwback to one of company's popular games. The game featured by the search giant on its first doodle is ‘Coding for Carrots’ which dates back to 2017. The game was meant to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ‘Logo’, the first programming language designed for use by children .



In the game, the player has to come up with a combination of simple commands that will allow the rabbit to collect the carrots. On hovering the mouse over the doodle, a message appears on the screen, ‘Stay and Play at Home with Popular Past Google Doodles .

The simplified logo displays the encoding of the second letter "o" on the keyboard and the first letter "o" animated on the computer screen . 

When you click the "Play" button, you can play "Coding for Carrots".With Google Stadia, its cloud gaming service, free for two months, it's clear that the search giant feels games and cryptography are the two ways to "stay home" .
